It’s time for SCARE-A-THON 2026
This year, for reasons that might seem obvious, I have selected IMPACT Chicago, a non-profit organization dedicated to ending sexual violence and harassment through empowerment-based self-defense training for women, girls, LGBTQ+ and people with disabilities, providing them with the tools needed to prevent, minimize, and stop violence.

Your donation allows IMPACT to make these programs accessible to people of all economic backgrounds. Please help end gender-based violence and build a less scary world, one horror fan at a time. For more information, please visit their website, https://www.impactchicago.org/
As many of you know, since 2010 I have dedicated my October viewing energies to various organizations deserving of some TLC (Terror Lovin’ Care). Thanks to generous, like-minded souls, we have raised over $60K for over a dozen different groups. Even a donation of $5 makes a HUGE impact, so if you can, please chip in. Every little bit helps. Really.
You can follow along with all the fright-flick related fun over at the HORROR 101 with Dr. AC YouTube channel, with live updates every Tuesday afternoon at 4pm CST all October long! (You can also find our final tallies right here on the H101 blog.)
Have a Happy and Safe Halloween, everyone!
Caring through Scaring,
AC
