  1. Hey, why'd you skip over Son of Frankenstein? Not only was it the direct inspiration of Mel Brooks and Gene Wilder's Young Frankenstein, but it was Karloff's swansong as the Monster.

  2. Didn't skip it, just went out of order. I actually watched SON, GHOST and HOUSE this morning. Not to worry, I'm doing the whole Universal circuit this month...

  3. I went through my Universal Horror phase last year. I still kinda wish House of Frankenstein and House of Dracula had been included on the Wolf Man Legacy Collection since have more to do with the continuation of Larry Talbot's story than their nominal title characters.

  4. Sounds like we flip-flopped, as I did my Hammer-time dance last year. Check it out:

And yes, that is the "Lawrence Talbot cycle," in spite of the titles. still, I'm glad they found room for WEREWOLF OF LONDON, though SHE-WOLF OF LONDON is pretty much a big tease.

  5. The four Talbot films plus Werewolf of London would have made for a great set. I could have gone my whole life without ever seeing She-Wolf of London, though.
