  1. Which version of The Exorcist did you watch? The original one or "The Version You've Never Seen"? And isn't there yet another cut floating around out there now? I swear, Friedkin and Blatty can be worse than George Lucas sometimes.

Also, what did you think of Invasion of the Bee Girls? I was expecting it to be a lot wilder than it turned out to be.

  2. I have only seen 'The Version You've Never Seen' once, when it was rereleased to theaters back in 1999, and I've not seen it since. Not a fan - the cuts that were made were the right cuts to have been made. Watching it again, I was marveling at what an incredibly well-made film it is, and the tricked-up shots of Pazuzu that are littered throughout VYNS cheapen it. The film works perfectly as it is, minus the spiderwalk, minus the extra doctor conversations, and *especially* minus the protracted "happy ending" with Dyer and Kinderman walking off into the sunset.

I genuinely liked INVASION...BEE GIRLS. I wasn't expecting anything, and so I found it much wilder than I could have thought. Boobs, sex, chicks, bugs, William Smith, boobs, Anitra Ford, Victoria Vetri, and more boobs. I thought the "transformation" scene was pretty darn trippy, right down to the blacked-out Ray Milland in THE MAN WITH X-RAY EYES contact lenses. Creepy as heck. Again, I had no expectations whatsoever, so it was a very pleasant surprise.
